SVBWAY TO SALLY To Perform On German TV

German folk rock/metallers SVBWAY TO SALLY will perform at the Bundesvision Song Contest 2009 on German TV channel Pro7 next Friday.

The Bundesvision Song Contest is an annual competition created in 2005 by German TV entertainer Stefan Raab. For each of the 16 states of Germany, a song is chosen by regional radio stations. The songs are performed on live television in order to find the most popular song in the competition. The TV format makes use of premium-priced viewer interactivity, with viewers voting for their favorite songs by mobile telephone texting or calling. The show is loosely based on the Eurovision Song Contest and its rules aim at promoting German-language music by requiring that at least 50 percent of the lyrics have to be performed in German.

In other news, SVBWAY TO SALLY's track "Eisblumen" has been released exclusively as digital download single. "Eisblumen" was previously covered by German pop singer EISBLUME, who is also featured on the track "Komm in meinen Schlaf" on SVBWAY TO SALLY's tenth studio album, "Kreuzfeuer", due on March 27 via Nuclear Blast Records.
